@Rexusmetal Yes you can use the G-major 2 straight into the nice Kerry King signature amp’s input and it will sound good. An effect loop gives you the advantage that you can choose between setting your effect pre- or post the preamp, with a serial effect loop, or with a parallel effect loop you can blend in the effect signal with your amps preamp signal. Connecting the G-Major 2 straight into your amps input gives you a pre- preamp setup. please refer to the manual for further informations

Hi Tc electronic, I have a Marshall Jcm 800 2203 Kerry King signature head and the fact is that my amp doesn’t have an effects loop, and i want to buy the G-major 2 processor, the question is if i can connect the g-major in the amp´s input with no problem, and still sounding good? this is recommendable? and whats the difference?.

    Thanks.

I play bass and on my pre-amp you can select either series or parellel for the FX loop. Kinda funny that a bass pre has that but not guitar amps.

When i turn off the volume on my amp i still have sound coming out of my speakers. The loop It’s series, passive type.
The sound is “far away”(very low volume) and distorted. When i turn up the amp volume its sounds ok
This happens when i have 2 amps connected to the Major2. Any ideas??

@homero0787 – To check whether the loop is truly serial: plug a jack in the loop send and nothing in the loop return. If you still have sound the loop is parallel, otherwise it’s serial.
Channel switching + EQ working. G-Sys channel switching works on MANY amplifiers, – but not all. Before giving up I suggest you try ALL the relay combinations in G-Sys that give the clean channel. If there’s no luck I suggest you get a schematic from Shiva on ch. swithing , then contact TC Electronic support

Tcelectronic, I have a g- system, i use it with a combo bogner shiva. How do I know is the Bogner Shiva is Parallel or serial?. I also hook up the Gsystem so i can change the channels of the amplifier from the G system, the problem I have is when i plug the G system to the amp to change channels, the EQ of the clean channel freeze and i cant eq the clean channel.

Hope you can help me out with my questions

    Thanks.
