@jimmypc4242 Whoops when i said 1080 I got mixed up with 1080p
I meant 1920×1200 or ‘tevs it is.
It might have been your VGA connection was dodgy or your screen didn’t like it, or a number of things such as power supply problems to the VGA connection or as simple as the connection port not properly plugged in.
VGA isn’t really that different in video output, it’s just the connection that the card makes with the computer isn’t as uh, powerful(?) as a PCI-E card.
@holysoks1 well for me i was running 1680×1050 on VGA and it was unbelievably blurry… when i switched to DVI (same computer) it looked at least 10 times sharper (maybe its my bad eyes or my screen i dont know but thats how it was for me and i was told that it had to do with vga having trouble with high res) (and yes i talk too much XD )
@jimmypc4242 My old PC used VGA and it ran 1080×1200 screens EASY in HD.
It’s not the quality of the picture, its the limits on the VGA connection.
@taz666the23rd Because VGA is old tech and cannot handle high resolutions too well….. when you use vga and set a high res… it looks REALLY blurry.
@jimmypc4242 explain ?
Ubuntu is running in the background
Call me ignorant but I can’t understand their language.
@taz666the23rd cuz vga sucks?
read his shit nerdslists
read his shit nerdslists
why are all them dvi and not vga ???
wow nice put your oily fingers all over the gold pci-e pins real good way to corrode the metal.
@Frankfurtxxl Thats kind of disturbing, but funny at the same time!
Those cards were no where near unusual!
it’s funny since it wasn’t that long ago, yet at the time this was made they talk like those cards are too much and amazing. now a days cards like that are common, as well as better evolutions of those cards being here and now they’re saying they’re common and whatnot
how technology advances so quick in so short a time
@Frankfurtxxl so was i
