The Blackberry Torch 9810 is one of several phones set to be released by Blackberry and, like its predecessors, offers attractive features which make it a strong contender for anyone looking at the mobile phone market.
Aesthetically, the second of the Torch series, like the 9800, has the same smooth sliding mechanism which reveals the classic Blackberry QWERTY keyboard. The phone still has its solid built quality and, whilst the design of the phone is not radically different, there are noticeable improvements. The enlarged 3 inch screen has now been improved, boosting the graphics along with the new multi-touch feature for that extra bit of control when browsing.
Blackberry has again developed the hardware to provide the user with a much slicker and more powerful operating system, the OS7. This 1.2 GHz processor will allow for greater multi-tasking, meaning you can use the internet, play music and send text messages all at once, without the handset slowing down the pace.
With the popular Blackberry messaging application a mainstay, the phone also has an in-built web browser with Wi-Fi and NFC support. A developing feature in the mobile phone world, near field communications has a variety of functions including using your handset to pay for items electronically and holds the potential for many more uses yet to be developed.
The camera built into the 9810 is another feature which makes the Torch series much desired. With a 5 megapixel capability, you can be sure of a detailed photograph with the autofocus option being an extra bonus. Additionally, the camera also comes attached with a flash for night time shooting too.
Along with the camera is the chance to use the newly designed application Wikitude, a new augmented reality feature to help you locate and identify just about anything and a 720p HD video function which, along with the powerful processor and sharp screen, makes this new Blackberry a strong contender in the competitive smartphone market.
